Job Introduction

As a Peer Mentor with our Complex Needs Service, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with mental health needs and other complex issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to service users within the community, promoting their recovery and independence.
  • Use your personal experience to offer guidance, friendship, and hope to those experiencing similar challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify and address the needs of service users.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of our service, sharing your expertise and ideas to improve our support.
Requirements
  • Experience of caring for someone with mental health issues, or lived experience of mental health issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy to build beneficial relationships with service users.
  • Ability to navigate community-based services to meet the needs of service users.
  • Good listening skills, non-judgmental attitude, and confident communication.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
