Job Title: Commercial Marketing Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Marketing Officer to join our team in the Leisure, Tourism, Heritage and Culture department within Neath Port Talbot Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive sales and enhance market presence of NPT Council venues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with facility managers to develop engaging marketing materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyse data to inform marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage and grow the social media presence by creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring social media performance.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback on social media platforms.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing events, such as trade shows, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Coordinate logistics, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up.
  • Work closely with facility managers to ensure cohesive marketing strategies and meet their marketing needs.
  • Liaise with external vendors and agencies as needed.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, budgets, and databases.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in commercial marketing or related roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of managing marketing programmes and campaigns across the leisure portfolio in a local government setting.
  • Experience of dealing with the media and generating positive press releases.
