We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Road Safety team as a Driver Development Support Officer.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to driver and rider education, training, and publicity initiatives within the Road Safety section.
Main Duties:
- Responsible for the promotion and day-to-day management of the driver and rider training element of the Road Safety Team.
- Develop, deliver, and coordinate select road safety initiatives designed to help achieve national and local objectives in reducing casualties.
- Assist in the provision and marketing of Driver and Rider initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in an office environment employing latest technologies and IT software packages.
- Computer literate.
- Work involving road safety issues.
- Marketing Experience.
- Microsoft Word.
- Business Administration, Customer Care.
- Periodic Driver CPC.
- DSA Fleet driver training.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification requirement: 4 GCSE's or equivalent, one of which should be English Language or Welsh.
- Possess or working towards an NVQ Level 3.
About Us:
Neath Port Talbot's Road Safety team provide Education, Training, and Publicity to a wide audience including Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Cyclists, Young Drivers, Motorcyclists, and Professional Drivers.
The successful candidate would play an important role in the road safety development of riders and drivers using our road network.
