Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Family Intervention Specialist - NVR Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will deliver interventions using the Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) approach, working with parents, children, and family members to develop skills and knowledge for non-violent behaviour management.



Key Responsibilities



  • Advocate for the rights and protection of children, promoting their well-being and safety in vulnerable situations.
  • Deliver high-quality sessions using NVR techniques with parents, children, and family members, adhering to program manuals and applying strength-based and motivational interviewing approaches.
  • Collaborate with statutory and voluntary professionals to manage risk and ensure safety, maintaining high standards in assessments, reports, and intervention planning.
  • Participate in risk review meetings, training sessions, and community training as required, demonstrating commitment to RISE's strategic objectives and vision.


Requirements



  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in trauma-informed work, domestic abuse interventions, or casework.
  • Ability to undertake risk assessments and write high-quality reports, with a proven track record of engaging challenging client groups using creative and empathetic approaches.
  • Experience working with parents, families, children, and young people, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency with new technology and digital tools, with an Enhanced DBS Check required.
