Role: Senior/Supervising Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Senior/Supervising Social Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting foster parents and ensuring the well-being of children placed in their care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to foster parents, empowering them to achieve outstanding outcomes for the children in their care.
  • Conduct regular assessments of foster parents' competence and suitability, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Deliver effective supervision sessions to foster parents, offering guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify the needs of foster families and develop tailored solutions.
  • Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and procedures.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support service, providing essential assistance to foster parents and children when needed.
  • Undertake initial home visits and assessments to evaluate potential foster placements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized Social Work qualification.
  • Hold professional registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality reports and documentation.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and best practices in fostering.
  • Be willing to travel to various locations within our service area.
  • Confidently transport children as required.
  • Hold a full driving license.
