Job Title: Supervising Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team at The Children's Family Trust. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our foster carers and ensuring the safe care and development of our foster children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, assess, and monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster carers and support them to evidence their competence against the Training Standards.
  • Contribute to Foster Carer Annual Reviews and present reports to the Review Fostering Panel as required.
  • Participate in negotiations between the agency and Local Authorities to ensure each child or young person is matched with a suitable foster carer.
  • Complete paperwork and procedures in relation to significant Incidents and Notifiable Events.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified and registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in social work, particularly in foster care.
  • Full driving licence and up to date knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • IT literate and accurate record keeping skills.
