About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver effective mental health services
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care
Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and leading clinical services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and cope with competing demands
