Job Description

About the Role:

  1. Drive Business Growth: Lead the development and execution of a customer-centric sales strategy that prioritizes customer experience, innovation, and engineering.
  2. Mentor and Manage: Foster an energetic team environment, provide direction, and set stretch targets for high-performance achievement.
  3. Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with Caterpillar to develop and own prime sales growth plans and targets within a return on investment framework.
  4. Analysis and Insight: Analyze sales penetration across key customers and markets, capturing customer insights to inform focused relationship development strategies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, preferably with an MBA.
  • Demonstrable success in managing sales growth and leading high-energy sales teams.
  • An ability to compile and analyze data, making strategic decisions and driving results-oriented outcomes.
  • Familiarity with corporate industrial distribution businesses and OEMs.

Additional Information:

This role is pivotal in driving profitable business growth and achieving revenue targets of approximately £190-£210 million. As a General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering revenue, gross profit, SG&A, EBIT, and ROIC commitments while advocating high levels of customer satisfaction.
