About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team at EQUANS. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients while maintaining a strong focus on profitability and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial objectives are aligned with project goals.
  • Provide commercial guidance and support to project teams, including advice on contract management, pricing, and negotiation.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial records, including contracts, invoices, and financial reports.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, including those related to contract compliance, payment terms, and supply chain management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial objectives are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure that commercial strategies are aligned with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, including contract management, pricing, and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial records.
