Role Context

The Bid Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the growth of Ardonagh Specialty's business through effective bid management. The role sits within the Business Development function, which is responsible for generating organic growth and supporting the company's overarching budget and growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team responsible for bids, tenders, RFPs, and other projects across all Ardonagh Specialty's divisions and teams.
  • Develop and implement best practice bid management processes to drive a sales culture within Ardonagh Specialty.
  • Work closely with the BD Director and Global Commercial Director to benchmark client retention rates, bid conversion rates, and bid qualification processes.
  • Collaborate with other Specialty functions to gather data, intel, and information to support the efficient production of bids.
  • Develop and manage bid pipelines and workflow management processes to optimize project management and stakeholder updates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bid management and business development, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build robust relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with bid management tools and software, such as Monday.com and SharePoint.
