Smiths Group plc is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the New Energy market.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute business development plans to target new and existing customers in the New Energy value chain.
- Manage and develop a team of Business Development Managers to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, project managers, procurement, and engineering contacts at targeted companies.
- Identify and prioritize new project opportunities, working collaboratively with the Projects team to manage the project funnel.
- Execute sales plans to exceed order and revenue targets from targeted customer accounts.
- Provide market insights and trends to inform the global strategic agenda of Smiths Group plc.
- Present John Crane product range and technical attributes to customers, trade shows, and industry conferences.
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience, with at least 5 years in business development in a regional team.
- Knowledge and experience working in Energy Transition and related industries.
- Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Solid multi-project management skills and experience required.
