Job Title: Financial Assistant Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and talented individual to excel as a skilled accounts professional in our client's South Lakes office.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare accurate and timely annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  2. Develop draught tax returns and computations alongside the accounts work, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Compile draught VAT returns, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Liaise with clients in a confident and professional manner, providing exceptional service and support.
  5. Communicate effectively with HMRC regarding queries and correspondence, resolving issues efficiently.
  6. Analyse data and produce precise reports, highlighting key findings and trends.

Requirements:

  1. Prior experience in preparing self-assessment tax returns, year-end accounts & corporation tax computations to draught stage.
  2. Ongoing study towards AAT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent experience.
  3. Ability to meet deadlines and be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  5. Aptitude for figures and a genuine interest in business and finance.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using cloud accounting software.
  7. Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a drive to succeed.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to delivering a professional, punctual, and accurate service.
  9. Excellent communication skills, with ability to coordinate, organise, and take responsibility for performance.
  10. Client-focused attitude and commercial awareness within the firm.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
