Volunteering Project Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Officer to enhance our volunteering opportunities and ensure that our diverse range of volunteers have a rewarding experience. As a key member of our team, you will develop and deliver projects from start to finish to ensure that the efforts of our volunteers have a meaningful impact on people living with and affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and delivering volunteer projects that align with our organisational goals. You will collaborate with internal teams to gather project requirements, develop helpful project plans, and carry out the work to successfully deliver the projects. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will keep volunteers, employees, and other stakeholders informed and engaged, ensuring transparency and a shared sense of purpose.

Beyond project delivery, you will develop strong relationships with external partners, bringing together the right people and resources to advance our volunteering initiatives at both local and national levels. You will also take charge of monitoring and evaluating the impact of our volunteer projects, implementing effective systems, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver volunteer projects that align with our organisational goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather project requirements and develop project plans
  • Deliver projects to ensure successful outcomes and impact
  • Develop strong relationships with external partners to advance volunteering initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of volunteer projects and implement improvements

Requirements:

  • Experience in people-focused project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups, including volunteers, staff, and external partners
