About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Nurse or Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the ward team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support the Ward Manager in the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Post-qualification experience working as a Registered Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Nurse or Occupational Therapist.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of mentoring and supervising staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Good knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
