About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical, emotional, and social support to residents
  • Mentor and supervise a team of Care Assistants
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents and promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in a nursing or care home or as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks – Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system would be desirable
