Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring they align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring they are identified, assessed, and mitigated in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety, environmental, and quality management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage and lead a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, including reports, records, and correspondence, is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional membership with a relevant industry body, such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Association for Project Management (APM).
  • Valid CSCS card and SMSTS training.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety and CDM requirements.
  • Digitally savvy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, with excellent communication and issue resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
