About the Role:

Infraspec is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of complex construction projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for developing and managing cost plans to ensure financial efficiency, working closely with the Programme Commercial Manager and the Construction team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cost plans and cost estimates for larger projects (typically greater than £100 million)
  • Prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages, from initial concept to final construction, including internal costs
  • Control project costs and prevent overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct accurate measurement, rate analysis, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value
  • Administer contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management, or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors working on projects typically over £5 million
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field
  • Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools, including the NEC suite of contracts and associated contract administration and negotiations
