Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring they align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and operations, to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring they are identified, assessed, and mitigated to minimize impact on the project.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety, environmental, and quality management.
- Manage and control project budgets, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project delivery, including process improvements and innovation.
Requirements
- Relevant degree qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field.
- Professional membership with a relevant industry body, such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Association for Project Management (APM).
- Valid CSCS card and SMSTS training.
- Good knowledge of health and safety and CDM requirements.
- Digitally savvy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience leading construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and operations.
- Knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
