SEN Specialist Support Worker

**Role Overview**
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a lively and energetic KS2 student diagnosed with ADHD and ASD in a small school located in Solihull. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with SEN students and possess the skills and patience required to provide personalized support and foster a positive, trusting relationship.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the student to identify learning needs and develop tailored support plans
- Provide 1:1 support and guidance to the student in the classroom and during extracurricular activities
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring that students receive the best possible education
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting equality and diversity
- Collaborate with the school team to share best practices and develop effective strategies for supporting students with SEN
**Requirements**
- Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent UK educational qualification
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
