About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Breast Cancer, you will play a vital role in promoting access to clinical trials and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients with their diagnosis of breast cancer, providing emotional and practical support
  • Introduce patients to the concept of clinical research and signpost them to educational materials
  • Navigate patients to breast cancer trials that may be suitable for them
  • Support patients commencing or continuing on breast cancer clinical trials, addressing any barriers they may face
  • Work closely with the academic team to evaluate the project's impact
  • Represent the project and present to the media, promoting the importance of clinical trials in breast cancer care
