About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Access Specialist Nurse to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our renal vascular access specialist nurse team, you will play a vital role in planning, assessing, and maintaining vascular access for renal patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of vascular access numbers
  • Facilitate timely vascular access provision, monitoring, and ongoing support
  • Provide specialist nursing expertise, knowledge, and skills in the clinical practice of vascular access nursing
  • Emphasize patient empowerment and self-care within defined clinical and organizational frameworks
  • Enhance education through the teaching of patients, families, and colleagues to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes
  • Provide a consistent approach and share best practice across the team
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse
  • Renal Qualification or Equivalent Experience at post-grad level / willing to work towards
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Teaching qualification
  • NMP or working towards
  • IRMER Training
