Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Engineer to provide contracts and administration support for our sales force and be the project interface/technical support to the user/purchaser of central plant equipment throughout the order process. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of what the client's brief/specification is, as well as the equipment sold, how it works, and if it fully complies with/fulfils the customer's needs.

The ideal candidate will be able to recognize technical or commercial issues with what has been sold and how these issues will affect the customer and the company. They will be responsible for delivering the promises made in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing ordered equipment specifications and compliance to design brief
  • Processing orders on the factory with admin team assistance
  • Technical interface and point of contact for the equipment purchaser/user during the contract process
  • Attending site visits as required to aid in the contract process and ensure correct installation
  • Technical interface and point of contact during the contract process for the relevant sales team
  • Working with the relevant account manager to ensure a smooth flow of information to the client, particularly in relation to lead times
  • Liaising with the factory during the order process
  • Checking and issuing of factory documentation (GA drawings and wiring diagrams)
  • Liaising with the factory regarding testing requirements
  • Organizing lead times and scheduling of deliveries
  • Arranging on-site commissioning through to final handover to the client, including generation of method statements and risk assessments/project completion documentation
  • Keeping up to date with product developments and issues
  • Complying with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Understanding and complying with all relevant company policies
