About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the IT Vendor Management team, you will play a vital role in providing software, hardware, services, and business applications that are supported, stable, and streamlined.

This is a technically challenging position that requires strong contract administration skills, as well as an understanding of IT hardware and software, maintenance, and support services.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, business owners, and technical teams. They will also be able to negotiate and agree contract terms with suppliers.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all project purchasing, assigning costs to the correct project budgets, and producing forward schedules of project requirements. You will also need to engage with project managers, business and technical owners to confirm project requirements and specifications.

Additionally, you will manage the procurement process with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of assets to meet project timelines. You will work closely with the IT Vendor Management team to identify savings opportunities for purchases, renewals, software licensing, and support services.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of all project purchasing and assign costs to the correct project budgets
  • Produce forward schedules of project requirements
  • Engage with project managers, business, and technical owners to confirm project requirements and specifications
  • Manage the procurement process with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of assets
  • Negotiate and agree contract terms with suppliers
  • Identify savings opportunities for purchases, renewals, software licensing, and support services
Requirements:
  • Experience in contract administration and procurement
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware and software, maintenance, and support services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, business owners, and technical teams
