Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Support Worker - Specialist Children's Unit to join our team at the Specialist Children's Eating Disorder Unit in Hatfield. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care and therapeutic interventions to children and young people with eating disorders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care to children and young people with eating disorders, including daily living activities such as medication management and meal preparation.
  • Assist with individual care plans and therapeutic interventions, using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, CRT, and MVT.
  • Foster a supportive environment that promotes socialisation, engagement, and emotional well-being among residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in mental health or eating disorder services, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and young people, families, and colleagues.
  • Certification in a relevant therapeutic approach (CBT, CRT, or MVT) an asset.
