Key Responsibilities:
  1. Policy Development and Compliance
  • Draft, implement, and continually improve site-specific health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Hazard Identification and Risk Mitigation
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
Training and Awareness
  • Deliver effective health and safety training sessions to employees and contractors, promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices.
  • Educate stakeholders on their responsibilities and expectations, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Record-Keeping and Reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date health and safety documentation, including incident reports, hazard logs, and training records.
Collaboration and Advocacy
  • Work closely with site managers, contractors, and external bodies to champion a safety culture, promoting clear and consistent communication of health and safety issues.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in construction health and safety, specifically with large-scale residential projects. They should possess a deep understanding of industry-specific risks and regulatory requirements, as well as strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
