Procurement Strategist for Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our infrastructure projects in Oxford. As a key member of the procurement team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality procurement services and driving business growth.

Role Purpose:

To provide expert procurement leadership and support to project teams, ensuring that procurement strategies align with business objectives. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing effective procurement plans
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Providing market intelligence and cost advice to inform procurement decisions
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate governance and procurement best practices
  • Monitoring markets and identifying opportunities to maximize value

Technical Capabilities:

  • Negotiation and contracting
  • Supply base management and risk management
  • Project procurement strategy and supply chain planning
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Client and stakeholder management
  • People management and social sustainability

Qualifications:

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent certification
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field such as procurement, construction, or engineering
  • Proven experience in managing procurement resources and delivering added value through procurement activities
