Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Procurement Strategist to join our team and drive supply chain excellence. This is a pivotal role that will lead the development and implementation of commercial, strategically integrated supply chains that support and enable the delivery of our objectives.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage a highly complex and extensive operational Supply Chain service across all sites, ensuring effective and efficient supply chain management (SCM) services to customers.
  • Initiate, develop, and deliver commercial supply chain strategies that align with our broader procurement and supply chain transformation strategy.
  • Develop key relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet their needs.
Main Responsibilities
  1. Delivery of an effective, efficient, and sustainable supply chain management (SCM) service to customers across the Trust.
  2. Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Procurement colleagues to develop 3- to 5-year strategies and lead on the development of Supply Chain activities across all areas of Trust activity.
  3. Carry out contract management activities for key suppliers that provide services that align with supply chain operations.
  4. Develop the Supply Chain organisation and build a motivated, high-performing team, providing clear, visible, responsive, and professional leadership.
  5. The leadership, management, development, and performance of the Trust-wide supply chain team.
  6. Represent the Trust at a national level in supply chain forums, aiming to achieve the best outcomes for the Trust.
Requirements
  • A strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in leading and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial benefits through supply chain optimisation and innovation.
