About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Powys Teaching Health Board. As a key member of our Musculoskeletal Services team, you will play a vital role in providing expert patient-centered care to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner managing patients with highly specialized complex needs in a variety of care settings.
  • Collaborate with other professions, including GPs, Consultants, Nurses, and other AHPs, to provide expert musculoskeletal care.
  • Provide training, education, supervision, and appraisal for staff and students.
  • Contribute to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery.
  • Support the research and innovation agenda through participating in research and development activity.
  • Lead aspects of service evaluation with an emphasis on value-based care and complex audit within their area.
  • Work in partnership with service users and staff to achieve improved health outcomes for service users and develop clinical pathways.
About Us

Powys Teaching Health Board is responsible for meeting the health and wellbeing needs of the people of Powys, mid Wales. As a rural health board, we provide as many services as possible locally, mainly through GPs and other primary care services, community hospitals, and community services.

Requirements
  • BSc (Hons)/ Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Advanced accredited training at Masters level or equivalent
  • Accredited postgraduate specialist courses/training relevant to role
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Postgraduate qualification up to postgraduate diploma level in relevant area
  • MSc within relevant specialty
  • Injection therapy qualification
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Member of CSP
  • Competency as non-medical referrer
  • Relevant leadership courses/qualifications
