About the RoleThis challenging yet rewarding position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual with strong clinical and assessment skills to provide high-quality nursing care to residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care, ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of our residents, while promoting a warm and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Care: Provide comprehensive care to residents, including personal hygiene, medication administration, wound care, and chronic condition management.
- Care Plans: Develop and review individualized care plans for residents, working in collaboration with the wider care team.
- Medication Management: Safely administer medications and keep accurate records of treatments, dosages, and health changes.
- Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained at all times.
- Health Monitoring: Regularly assess residents' health and liaise with healthcare professionals, such as GPs and physiotherapists, for specialist support.
- Communication: Maintain open and compassionate communication with residents' families, providing updates on their loved ones' health and well-being.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid NMC Pin.
- Previous experience working in a care home or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- The ability to lead, mentor, and develop care staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in care home settings (CQC, safeguarding, etc.).
- A competitive salary (£45,000-£60,000 per annum), with enhancements for weekends and bank holidays.
