Diabetes Specialist Nurse

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join their team. The ideal candidate will have completed a nationally recognised diabetes education programme at postgraduate diploma level.

Main Responsibilities

The role of Diabetes Specialist Nurse includes:

  • Management of diabetes
  • Health education
  • Reviewing blood test results
  • Medication monitoring and dose adjustments

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and high quality care. They will also make referrals as necessary to other members of the primary and secondary health care teams.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to join the NHS team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and develop their skills in diabetes care.

Requirements
  • NMC registered Nurse
  • Completed or undertaking a nationally recognised diabetes education programme at postgraduate diploma level
  • Independent prescriber
