Job Title: Registered General Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered General Nurse to join our team at John Masefield House in Oxford. As a Registered General Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adults with physical disability and/or long-term neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term service users, prioritizing their health and well-being.
  • Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times, adhering to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
  • Be competent and confident in managing people with long-term health conditions, providing individualized care and support.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex, urgent, or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
  • Recognize and work within your own competence level, seeking support and guidance when needed.
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Support, manage, and guide support workers on a daily basis, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Continual personal development to develop yourself and the role, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based care.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid NMC Pin and be registered with the NMC.
  • Ability to work on shift/rota pattern, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
