Business Development and Events Executive

SF Recruitment is seeking a skilled Business Development and Events Executive to join their team in Solihull. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in sales and be able to work closely with the Business Development Director to achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase exhibitor sales and revenue.
  • Utilize cold calling, email, social media, and face-to-face networking to generate leads and close deals.
  • Work closely with the sales and exhibitor outbound sales team to win and process orders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a healthy level of competition and encourage sales growth.
  • Present at Exhibitor Days to generate leads and serve as a point of contact.
  • Develop retention plans to demonstrate growth year over year and identify new shows and Organisers.
  • Build multi-show exhibitors by constantly looking for crossover opportunities between official and unofficial shows.
  • Visit Exhibitions to ensure Exhibitors are satisfied, scope out new opportunities, and bring competitor knowledge back to the department.
  • Manage and own your sales pipeline to ensure there is sufficient opportunity to meet targets.
  • Work to increase the scope of work and services provided to clients by upselling and cross-selling when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the wider Commercial Team to explore and support opportunities for sales within Organiser relationships.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues on ordering processes to ensure an effective handover and all information is captured on internal systems.
  • Ensure all CRM systems and reporting information are up to date, well maintained, and accurate.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the Business Development Director on pipeline, targets, and won work.
  • Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective clients.
