Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team and play a key role in managing our financial processes and supporting business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial insights to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Undertake ad hoc projects as required to support business needs
- Provide detailed costings for products and projects
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Conduct cost analysis and control, identifying areas for cost reduction
- Assist the Financial Controller with the annual audit
- Support and advise the buying team with the purchase order (PO) system
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making
Requirements
- AAT qualification or part-recognised accountancy qualification is essential
- Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficient in accounting software, Xero knowledge is desirable
- Experience with Excel and Google Workspace is desirable
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
