Purchasing Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our Buying department, you will be responsible for handling administrative duties efficiently and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Liaise with the Purchase Ledger to process supplier invoice queries and obtain timely approval for payment
  • Create and maintain special codes
  • Handle incoming enquiries from internal and external sales teams
  • Respond to supplier queries
  • Process sample orders and despatch them accordingly
  • Maintain stock uniformity and accuracy
  • Update weights, packaging, and barcode details
  • Obtain images for new stock lines
  • Order company stationery and report on spend
  • Support general office administration tasks, such as answering calls, scheduling meetings, and handling documentation
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administration
  • Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, or logistics is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong focus on accuracy and delivering quality work
