Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Public Affairs Manager to join our team in Edinburgh, working remotely with occasional travel across the UK. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and delivering our advocacy engagement strategy, creating real change through campaigns and policy briefings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advocacy engagement strategies to support our mission of achieving a Net Zero future.
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify and pursue opportunities for policy influence and impact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians, officials, and other influencers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of experience in public affairs, policy development, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of the Scottish Parliament and the policy landscape.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus a range of benefits, including:

  • Annual leave: 25 days (increasing to 28 days with 3 years' service and 30 days with 5 years' service).
  • Company pension contribution: 8%.
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity leave.
  • Life assurance: 5 x salary.
