Safety and Compliance Expert Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental professional to join our client's team as a Safety and Compliance Expert, focusing on highway projects in North Lanarkshire. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting best practices across multiple projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on legislative updates and best practice policies, supported by accurate reporting and data.
  • Ensure team readiness by delivering effective communication, training, and competency evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures and manuals to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Deliver tailored training based on lessons learned from past and ongoing projects.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong preference for highway/ groundwork project experience.
  • Previous experience in a health and safety advisory role.
  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (additional environmental or auditing qualifications desirable).
  • CSCS certification.
  • A valid full UK driving licence.
