Salary and Benefits
The salary for this placement is competitive, estimated at around €45,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this placement, you should have at least two years of undergraduate study in a Materials Science or Materials Engineering degree course with an expected 2:1 or better. You should also have practical knowledge of materials analysis techniques such as metallography, microscopy, and SEM, as well as knowledge of materials testing and characterisation such as tensile testing and thermal property measurement.

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for contributing to the Materials Engineering of RBPT's 2026 Formula 1 Power Unit, including developing your Materials Engineering skills solving some of the technical challenges RBPT face in our journey to 2026. You will be involved in all stages of the Materials Engineering process from material recommendations, testing, process specification, and failure investigation.
