Job Description

We are seeking a talented Junior Materials Engineer to join our Material and Battery Engineering Group. You will support the ERS and ESS areas of the Powertrain working closely with other areas of the business including Design, Quality, Purchasing and Performance to deliver a race and championship winning Power Unit. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of electronic systems and battery cell technology as well as material processing such as manufacturing methods, heat treatment and surface treatment of materials and components.

Requirements

  • Maters Science or Materials Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of F1 hybrid power unit materials advantageous but experience of high-performance R&D projects and short lead time projects essential
  • Excellent understanding of failure mechanisms of different materials
  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • Technical report writing skills including ability to draw conclusions and make decisions
