About the Role

We are seeking a talented Powertrain CFD Engineer to join our team at Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology, a world-leading organisation in Formula One innovation.

As a Powertrain CFD Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools and methods to support the design and optimisation of our Powertrains.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and experience with numerical modelling and performing CFD simulations. A good understanding of fluid mechanics principles and their application in F1 Powertrain development is essential.

You should also be proficient in object-oriented scripting using Python and workflow automation, with a strong background in CAD software such as Siemens NX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement CFD models and workflows to support Powertrain development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CFD results into design and optimisation processes
  • Contribute to the development of new CFD tools and methods to stay ahead of the competition
  • Maintain and improve existing CFD software and workflows to ensure optimal performance
