The role of a Paint Robot Maintenance Technician at Pertemps Redditch Industrial is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of automated paint processes. This position guarantees equipment runs effectively to support safety, quality, and production goals in our Paint Operations team at Banbury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance

Our ideal candidate will follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, adhering to IATF 16949 standards. They must actively participate in accident investigations, near-miss reporting, and emergency procedures while conducting safe system of work practices, including the Lock Out Tag Out procedure where applicable.

  • Quality Assurance

The successful candidate will ensure rapid response to equipment issues to maintain Right First Time (RFT) standards, participating in problem-solving initiatives (8D, A3) and contributing to risk management. They must adhere to standardised procedures and perform regular equipment checks, escalating issues as needed.

  • Maintenance Timing & Efficiency

This role involves using the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system, suggesting improvements for maintenance performance. The individual will lead and support equipment repairs, responding quickly to any breakdowns affecting productivity, and maintain an organised spare parts inventory and support equipment installations for new technologies.

  • Candidate Profile

A qualified technician with a mechanical/electrical apprenticeship, a solid understanding of fluid flow schematics, and experience in robotic paint systems (B+M, Fanuc), is required. Candidates should have a safety-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and be comfortable working independently while coordinating with other departments. Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS) is highly desirable.


Requirements
  • Mechanical/electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of bell applicators, spray guns, and B+M robotic systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems using fluid flow schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of MAFACT processes (internal training provided)
  • IOSH certification and experience with CMMS are advantageous
