Job Title: Recovery Floating Housing Support Worker

Concept Resources is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Floating Housing Support Worker to join our team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing flexible support to individuals experiencing problems with substance use, domestic abuse, and homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement housing support plans tailored to the unique needs of each service user.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Empower service users to achieve independence by supporting them in developing life management skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining their dwelling.
  • Provide housing support to maintain the security and safety of service users' dwellings.
  • Support service users in managing their health and well-being by signposting them to relevant services and providing advice on general health.
  • Plan and deliver support services flexibly to meet individual needs, adopting a proactive approach to engagement.
  • Signpost service users to specialist advice providers, such as CAB, welfare rights, and advocacy services.
  • Encourage and support service users in maintaining good relationships and avoiding disputes.
  • Take the lead professional role in crisis situations and support colleagues from other agencies.
  • Provide assertive and persistent support to individuals and agencies to achieve personal goals and aspirations.
  • Record and maintain accurate progress, records, and plans for service users.

  • Ability to build rapport quickly with others.
  • Resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Passion for helping and commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be subject to a full DBS check against both adults and children. A Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
