Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our engineering team at Ultra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex FPGA firmware functions and algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform requirements analysis and derivation to generate understandable and robust firmware requirements.
  • Produce high-quality firmware designs and architectures to meet firmware requirements and interface specifications.
  • Develop and implement documentation, including specifications, reports, and proposals.
  • Ensure the firmware development process is conducted in accordance with the firmware development plan.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of firmware engineers.

Requirements:

  • Degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
  • Fully proficient in the full life cycle of firmware development.
  • Experience with engineering design methodologies, including the 'V' Model.
  • Proficient in VHDL and Xilinx, Lattice, Altera, or Microsemi FPGAs.
  • Good knowledge of FPGA EDA tools and tool flow.
