As an FPGA Design Verification Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that pushes boundaries and drives meaningful change.

Cyber Business

Our Cyber business unit pioneers advanced cryptographic and key management solutions, ensuring the highest security and trust worldwide. As a Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop verification methodologies for FPGA firmware, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Implement test procedures that adhere to project standards and security aspects, ensuring seamless integration with continuous integration systems.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to develop knowledge of both domains, ensuring effective integration activities.
  • Propose improvements in tools, processes, and techniques that support quality and innovation, making firmware development more efficient and effective.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
    • Experience in FPGA design verification, test tools, and design for test.
    • Familiarity with Xilinx, Lattice, Altera, or Microsemi FPGAs and their associated development tool chains.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and understand hardware schematics.
    • Experience with version control, change control, and bug tracking tools and systems.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with best practice firmware verification processes/lifecycles.
    • Familiarity with continuous integration and automated test tools and frameworks.
    • Knowledge of development standards for defence, space, or air worthiness techniques and standards such as MISRA.
    • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS and Enterprise Architect.
