We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Firmware Engineer to join our team at Ultra. As a key member of our firmware engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing FPGA firmware for our communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirements analysis and derive firmware level requirements from system level specifications.
- Design and implement FPGA firmware modules, ensuring adherence to project requirements and firmware group's library policies.
- Develop and review test specifications, including module and full FPGA design test specifications.
- Ensure test procedures and processes are compatible with our continuous integration systems.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to undertake integration activities.
- Propose improvements in tools, processes, and techniques to support quality and innovation.
- Contribute to project planning and estimation, ensuring cost and schedule adherence.
- Manage security of information as defined in our Security manual.
Requirements:
- Willing and able to obtain and maintain SC and DV security clearances.
- Degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
- Experience with FPGA module design and implementation, Xilinx, Lattice, Altera, or Microsemi FPGAs, and their associated development tool chains.
- Experience with FPGA firmware testing, test tools, and design for test.
- Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.
- Experience with version control, change control, and bug tracking tools and systems.
