We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team based in Northamptonshire, UK.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems using PLC and HMI software.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop electrical control systems using PLC software;
  2. Write and test HMI code to meet system requirements;
  3. Work with the project engineering team to ensure coordination of electrical, control, and mechanical parts;
  4. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, and installations to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  5. Investigate and resolve technical issues flagged in electrical design and PLC software systems;
  6. Provide comprehensive training and familiarization to support team members for commissioned systems;
  7. Support colleagues across the business in delivering client work, including attending customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings, and supplier meetings;
  8. Adhere to client health and safety and quality procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices;
  • Experience with Siemens PLC software writing and testing;
  • Familiarity with 18th Edition, EN60204, and other electrical standards;
  • A formal qualification in electrical engineering (Degree or HND/HNC with relevant experience).

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + car allowance (£5,000)
