We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C prison in England. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience working in a mental health setting, and the ability to work independently within a busy environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the mental health team in delivering immediate and ongoing care to patients referred to the mental health team.
  • Support individuals to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times.
  • Provide monitoring and assessment for an increasing population of men with mental health needs and Learning Disabilities, including annual health checks, medication-related reviews, and vital signs monitoring.
