We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our team at Garmin (Europe) Limited. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in PR, with experience in crisis communications and building creative campaigns for consumer media.

This role involves managing the press office, launching new products and PR campaigns to media, and proactively landing stories in key media titles to maximise earned media coverage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Successful management of press office output, ensuring proactive and reactive opportunities are utilised
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with key specialist and consumer media, increasing share of voice in key print, digital and broadcast media
  • Supporting with local content creation (press releases, bylines, comments, campaign briefs)
  • Supporting the PR Manager in building annual, quarterly, and project/launch PR plans, delivering against the business objectives
  • Ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of all PR activity, reporting to the wider business and supporting with ad-hoc reporting requests

The salary for this role is £35,000 per annum. We offer a range of benefits, including private medical and dental insurance, enhanced holidays, and product discounts.

Key qualifications include:

  • 4+ years' experience in a similar PR role, agency experience desirable
  • Experience in crisis communications is desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • A passion for public relations and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
