Job Details

Thomas Deacon Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our students' growth and development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support for pupils, especially those with special needs, and ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

About the Role

Our compassionate and supportive SEND department has an excellent reputation. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our Higher Level Teaching Assistants and other staff members to provide an outstanding educational experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide support for pupils, especially those with special needs, in achieving learning goals
* Establish good working relationships with pupils and staff members
* Utilize strategies to support students in achieving learning goals
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide an outstanding educational experience for our students

Requirements

* GCSEs in maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
* Flexibility, reliability, and punctuality
* Ability to be an excellent role model for our students
