Thomas Deacon Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support the growth and development of our students. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support for pupils, especially those with special needs. About the Role

We are a vibrant and successful secondary school in Peterborough, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a strong commitment to excellence and innovation. Our compassionate and supportive SEND department has an excellent reputation. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our Higher Level Teaching Assistants and other staff members to provide an outstanding educational experience for our students. You will have the opportunity to train in relevant learning strategies and contribute to the development of our students' skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide support for pupils, especially those with special needs
* Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver high-quality educational experiences
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

* GCSEs in maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
* Flexibility, reliability, and punctuality
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
