Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Thomas Deacon Academy. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' growth and development. You will be responsible for providing support to pupils, especially those with special needs, and ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, working 33.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to education and a passion for making a difference in young learners' lives. You will be an excellent role model for our students and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our dedicated staff members to provide an outstanding educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils, especially those with special needs
• Ensure pupils' safety and access to learning activities
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to provide an outstanding educational experience
• Utilize strategies to support students in achieving learning goals
• Establish good working relationships with pupils

Requirements

• GCSEs in maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Flexibility, reliability, and punctuality
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
